Linda Chhakchhuak is an independent journalist based in Shillong, Meghalaya. She is co-founder and publisher of Grassroots Options, a magazine that started in 1995 to focus on people, environment and development of Northeast India. She has also worked for many newspapers and news websites across the board since 1993.
